DESCRIPTION
Not all “pretty eggs” are created equal. Our Heirloom Eggs are sourced from Lake Meadow Naturals in Ocoee, Florida—chef-trusted eggs with naturally beautiful shells and serious performance in the kitchen.
These hens are grown the right way and all come from ONE farm. That's the beautiful thing. They are raised happy, fed an all-vegetarian high quality diet. We never use antibiotics, steroids or animal bi-products.
Taste and see the difference.
What Makes Them “Heirloom”
“Heirloom” refers to the heritage breeds of hens laying these eggs—not a dye, not a gimmick, and not the feed. These breeds naturally produce shells in soft blue/green tones and other earthy shades. Inside, you get a clean, fresh egg that shines in the simplest preparations and levels up everything from omelets to custards.
About the Farm: Lake Meadow Naturals (Ocoee, FL)
Lake Meadow Naturals is led by farmer Dale Volkert, whose passion for raising chickens started with a 4-H flock back in 1960. After relocating to Central Florida in 2000, he built Lake Meadow into a working farm and egg operation focused on humane care, consistency, and a “clean food source” approach—supplying eggs to homes, farm-market shoppers, and professional kitchens across Florida.
Nutrition Notes (Real Benefits, No Hype)
Eggs are naturally nutrient-dense—an excellent source of high-quality protein and key nutrients like choline, plus antioxidants lutein and zeaxanthin. One important note: shell color (blue, green, brown, or white) is determined by the breed of the hen and does not automatically mean the egg is more nutritious. Freshness, handling, and the hen’s diet are what matter most.
