    Description of Premium Whole Pig | Heritage

    All of our pigs are raised humanely, the process is completely natural. Just like our suckling pigs, our pigs are not inseminated; they mate naturally. The boars have individual spacious pens and the sows, once pregnant, are placed together in groups of approximately 10 in extra large pens. They have lots of space to move around and have easy access to their food during their gestation period.

    The pigs are raised in North Florida and Georgia and brought to Miami for processing in the only slaughterhouse in South Florida. The pigs are monitored on a daily basis and the farm follows the best production practices that includes hygiene, feeding and preventive measures to reduce to a minimum injuries or any type of stress.

    Diet:  Soy, corn, rice, and wheat. Our suckling pigs are fed exclusively with their mother’s milk.

    Our pigs are heritage bred, but are mixed. It is usually a mix of Berkshire and Yorkshire.

    Delivered cleaned (degutted), eviscerated and trussed (Ribs are not completely cracked open). We will not process the pigs any different and do not do special requests.

    The pigs come in vacuum sealed bags. If you need a pig larger than 60 lbs please contact us.

     We have smaller suckling pigs for sale that weigh less than 15 lbs.

    Shipped quick

    Ordered on a Saturday, and it arrived Tuesday around noon, just in time to thaw and smoke for Thanksgiving! Will be ordering another, plus a gator for Christmas.

    Absolutely perfect !

    I am used to Sardinian suckling pigs and these are up to par. Easy to oven roast and delicious!
