Our Hog Snapper is Wild Caught using Hook & Line on the coasts of Mexico. It presents mild flavor with a medium texture. It is ideal to cook in any which way you like, including grilling, baking and seviche!
Note that we pack our Hog Snappers two per pack, 8-10 oz each.
This Hog Snapper is presented butterflied... that means ready to cook, no head, no tail... It has a large cavity for stuffing. It makes for a great presentation and helps for even cooking.
FROZEN?
This Snapper is flash frozen right after being harvested, meaning frozen at its peak of freshness, all of its flavor and nutrition, as well as its texture.
THAWING INSTRUCTIONS
Keep frozen until ready to use. Thaw slowly under refrigeration. Cook this naturally delicate product from a thawed state.
DO NOT leave soaking in water, it will affect the flavor and texture of the fish. DO NOT leave thawed out fish in vacuum sealed bag for more than 24 hours. Consume within 24 hours for best results.
